To appreciate and sustain further economic growth and innovation better, the country hence wants the scarce professional workers for technology and research.<\/p><p><strong>Talent Boost Programme:<\/strong><\/p><p>Started in 2017, the aim of the programme was to attract foreign professionals to Finland. It focuses on easing the residence permit process for specialists, with the processing time set to around 10 days, and allowing specialists to bring their families with them.<\/p><p><strong>Permanent Residency Changes:<\/strong><\/p><p>From January 2026 onwards, applicants for permanent residence will be expected to fulfill a continuous residence permit (A permit) period for six years instead of four.
